As a Christian college student attending a secular University, it can be hard for me to connect to people. Sometimes it’s hard for me to connect with other people my age. They don’t really get me and why I’m so caught up in this “Jesus thing”. And I don’t get them and why they would want to live the lives they do. Although I know many of them simply don’t know they’re doing wrong. (They need Jesus like everybody else). But it’s also hard for me to connect to people older than me. They lived in a different time than I do. They faced different trials. I won’t got through the same things they did as a college-aged student. It’s not easy…in fact, sometimes it can be very difficult. But there are always a few people with whom I can connect the most.
I surround myself with Christian friends who help support and encourage in me in my walk with God. There’s always one Person always connected to me. His name is Jesus, and He lives in my heart. Just the thought of knowing I am connected to Jesus and can immediately be connected to God through prayer is enough to give me peace of mind about everything going on in my life.
